ARCS Services for Victims:

We are here to help you.  We offer free confidential services of hotline, shelter, hospital, legal, and social service advocacy and peer counseling to survivors of abuse and sexual assault, their friends and families, and professionals

• Domestic Violence
• Sexual Assault
• Stalking
• Elder Abuse 

If you or someone you know is in danger or needs help:

1. Get to a safe place.
2. Call 911.
3. Call ARCS to learn more about community resources.  ARCS hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week 1-888-860-4084.
4. Seek medical care if injured and do not minimize another's verbal and psychological abuse or stalking behaviors.
5. Ask our hotline to help create a safety plan to keep you and your children safe.
6. Remember, do not hesitate to call for help, information, or just a sounding board.

ARCS Services for Batterer's:

Court ordered re-education classes are held for batterers which teach behaviors to stop their violence and abuse.  For more information click here or call our BIP Line: Monday - Friday. 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

Here's How to Help Others

To help someone who is being abused:

• Plan what you want to say, determine a good time and place to talk.
• Ask questions like "How can I help you?  What do you want to do about the situation"?  Listen without judgement.  Do not moralize or criticize.  Give the victim plenty of time to answer.
• Don't say,"Just get out" - it is not a safe piece of advice.
• Let the victim know that you believe that verbal, emotional or physical abuse in a relationship is never acceptable.
• Provide her with information about local resources that can help.

To help a child who is being abused:

• Report your suspicions of child abuse to Warren County Children's Services.  All calls are confidential.

To help a senior citizen who is being abused:

• Report your suspicions of elder abuse or neglect to Adult Protective Services.  All calls are confidential.
